Our Teacher
Ms. Lyndsey, Director/Teacher
Ms. Lyndsey grew up in the beautiful coastal town of Gualala, where her passion for working with young children first took root. She followed that calling to CSU, Chico, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and launched her preschool teaching career.
After graduating, she moved to Petaluma and continued teaching, gaining over 25 years of experience in the field as a Teacher, Lead Teacher, Nanny, and Director. Becoming a mother deepened her perspective. She provided childcare in her home during her children’s early years, cherishing the chance to be fully present with them. Her youngest child’s time in a cooperative preschool opened her eyes to the powerful sense of community that co-ops can build, connections that continue to this day.
Ms. Lyndsey believes in fostering a classroom rooted in kindness, respect, and community. She is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, play, and learn at their own pace through inspiring, curiosity-driven experiences. She holds a Director Permit through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, is certified in First Aid and CPR, and has completed a range of training in early childhood education, most recently the Teaching Pyramid, which supports social-emotional development in young children
In her free time, she loves adventuring outdoors, camping, and spending time with her wife and their three children- Hazel (13), Freddy (11), and Ernie (9). Whether watching sports, carpooling her children to events, enjoying music, or laughing with friends, family and community are at the heart of all she does.
